With its rustic wooden setting, pictures evoking olden times and authentic «Chäs-Chessi» (cheese vat), you will feel right at home in the Schauchäsi restaurant. Delicious hot food served daily.

Appenzeller® cheese is, naturally, the highlight of our menu. But not only cheese will be served. In addition, every Sunday morning there is a rich breakfast buffet with a fantastic assortment of specialities.

And the inviting «Höckli» restaurant is also a highlight for those who like to join a cooking class: guests can prepare their very own traditional «Chäshörnli» in the cheese vat (offer for groups that has to be booked in advance).
